Over the Moon!
about 5 years ago – Wed, Nov 27, 2019 at 05:51:18 PM

A constellation set of dice with only stars as numbers has been one of my goals for years, but it was also too big a gamble offering it earlier.

Seeing it funded in 4 hours, after a long preparation work based on real life Apollo missions details, really does fill my heart with joy and gratitude towards you all for helping me to make it a thing. Thank you, expecially to those of you who contributed with precious feedback or sharing a link to the campaign!

Hurray!

The first Stretch Goal has been hit already! If you would like your set to have proper numbers, you now have the chance to replace the Earth d20 in your reward with the unlocked Orbiter d20. Collector's rewards will find this included as an extra (no need for replacements).

The Orbiter d20

Between 1966 and 1967 the Lunar Orbiter program mapped the entire surface of the Moon to find candidate landing places. Incredibly (for today's standards) this was achieved by taking regular pictures on photographic film, which was developed in-orbit with a semidry process, and then scanned by a photomultiplier for transmission to Earth.

Lunar Orbiter d20, default version with green matte paint on black.
Lunar Orbiter d20, upgraded to silver paint.
Lunar Orbiter d20, upgraded to golden paint.
Lunar Orbiter d20, upgraded to gree glowing paint (in daylight).
Lunar Orbiter d20, upgraded to gree glowing paint.

Upgrades will be possible in the Pledge Manager, after the campaign.
