Constellation Dice: Apollo 50th Anniversary Edition

Created by Gio Lasar Design

Pre-order before January 13th for made-to-order sets. After that, availability will be limited to the final quantities manufactured. The dice should be ready in April, then fulfillment will begin with quality control, invoicing, sorting and packaging. This will take about one month, then in mid May 2020 your shipments will be mailed from Italy. All parcels will be sent untracked unless agreed beforehand (international tracked shipping can be much more expensive than the dice you are getting); anyway, even with untracked delivery 99% of the shipments for previous campaigns arrived without issues. Time of transit from Italy is usually two to six weeks pending customs and destination, and fees are usually about €10 for Europe and USA (ranging from €5 for the smallest packages, to €20 for heavy ones). Your credit cards will be charged on February 10th, 2020.

Things are going smoothly: while the factory prepares for manufacturing, the already available items from previous campaigns have been sorted and pre-packaged, and shipping envelopes sourced.

Your credit cards will be charged on Monday, so if you wish to get anything else from the store without having to pay full shipping fees, place an order now and it will be merged with your existing survey before printing the invoices.

Have a great weekend!

The funding period for the Small Step d4, the Blue Crescent d6 and the Countdown d10/d100 has ended, and unfortunately only the d4 has been unlocked. Anyway, both the d6 and d10/d100 have totaled almost 200 orders each, and more might be requested later: there are still 30 late backers who didn't submit their survey, and some people waits for manufacturing to be complete before placing an order.

For these reasons I have decided to invest in manufacturing all three Stretch Goals and make all the backers who ordered them very happy, but the factory minimum order quantities are much more than 250 pcs and it would be a waste to end up with unsold stock. Therefore it would still be appreciated if you could share the link to the online store in your social media:

The Dice Force

Last week President Trump unveiled the logo for the new US military branch, the Space Force, and many have commented that it is basically a copy of the Starfleet insignia from Star Trek; then I suppose he won't mind if I borrow from his version to print a few stickers:

This seems quite appropriate to accompany the new Space Wars! d6, do you agree?

We have a lift off!

The Apollo Edition set is one step closer to become a finished product! One small step ;) According to plans, your surveys have been locked and an order placed to the factory. All the funds from the campaign will be forwarded  to manufacturing, then on February 10th your credit cards will be charged for shipping expenses and add-ons.

The factory confirms that the dice should be ready in mid April 2020. The fulfillment process will begin as soon as they arrive and should last about one month, with the rewards landing at your place from May onwards. In case of delays you will be asked to confirm your shipping address. All going well you should receive your shipment between early May and late July, based on your destination and custom clearance time.

What if you need more?

In addition to those in your rewards and add-ons, a number of sets had to be made to reach the minimum quantities per color / paint, and will remain available in the online store for the campaign until sold-out: 30 painted gold, 100 glowing, 150 silver, 150 standard.

Any add-ons eventually requested by the 40 backers who haven't yet submitted their survey, as well as all sets and singles ordered through the online store from now on, will decrease the above quantities.

There is still some time to unlock the Blue/Light Blue Crescent d6 and the Countdown d10/d100. To help getting there, we added a new color option for the latter: Green on Black.

Please send a message if you ordered the orange or white painted ones and want to switch to this version, or if you would like to add one couple and build your own multicolor countdown. You are welcome to order even if you didn't consider them before, of course!

We are already at 70% of this Stretch Goal: we can make this happen!

Jan. 20th 2020: Happy 90th birthday to you Dr. Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, forever young at heart!

Happy New Moon
about 2 months ago – Mon, Dec 30, 2019 at 10:06:04 PM

Today is special.

We can choose to look back at the year that is ending, or to look forward to the new decade that will start tomorrow. In 2019 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing; all going well, in the next few years we might witness first-hand a new round of exploration, with even more ambitious goals. There are plans to go back to the Moon by 2024, and explore its South Pole, in search for water and other critical resources needed for long-term exploration.

The new program has a name: Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo and goddess of the Moon in Greek mythology. It's not a coincidence that this program will bring the first woman on the Moon.

More Good News

The funds from Kickstarter arrived today, and in a few weeks the factory will start producing your sets! The lockdown deadline for your surveys is January 13th, but the sooner you all submit them, the sooner we can place an order with the final quantities. Moreover, to help unlocking the Stretch Goals, the online store will soon be open to the general public for pre-orders; if you wish to get any remaining limited item, do not wait too long. Your credit cards will only be charged again in early February.

Thank you again for helping to make this project a reality, and best wishes for your projects and new year resolutions as well: one day at the time, everything is on reach. Even the Moon!

One Small Step...

Just one Small Step d4 was needed to officially unlock that design for manufacturing: we got it! There are still 200 backers that have yet to submit their surveys. Will they unlock the other two?
